On the subject of weddings, below are a few wedding photos from the family archives. I mean to ask my father-in-law to be who excatly these are of. Great examples of wedding attire from various decades, 1920s, 1940s and 1960s.

I'm exploring the finer details of my wedding now as the big stuff has already been ironed out. The style of my wedding seems to be evolving naturally, basically everything will be vintage, the clothes, the, chairs, tables, knives and forks. Even though it makes it more challenging sourcing every detail, I know everything will be unique.

What I wore to work

I love my collection of vintage cardis, nana chic! This is a cashmere vintage cardigan from the 60's. Perfect for this in-between weather.

Shopping

Next on my list of London shopping trips is the Blitz Vintage Department store, it's a five story department store, with a well edited vintage selection which includes funiture, bikes and all manor of vintage goods. Check out their blog here.

This is a dress that I bought in Napier, one of my favorite places, if you've never been to Napier.. (well why not..?!) it's unique in being one of the most well preserved Art Deco towns in the world.

Wear it to my wedding

As I mentioned I'm in the full throws of planning my wedding and in a bridezilla moment of controlling absolutely every detail, I told my sister in-law to be I would help her choose an outfit. The upside is pretty vintage finds on etsy!

Promenade

I love the 1950's, the fact that people got dressed up to go for a walk along the promenade, the rolled up shirt sleeves and carvat, so chic!

What I wore to work

Sometimes the easiest thing to throw on is a mens shirt and some skinny jeans, this is a vintage YSL mens shirt that I picked up in a charity shop.

Today I thought it would be warmer than it actually was, and wore this cute striped cotton dress that I picked up in a vintage jumble. I was a bit cold but at least the sun was shining.

Car Boot

Today we went car booting in Rusper. It's not so good for clothes but great for little knick nacks around the house. We found a great little tea set and some retro trays.

Vintage photos

Vintage photos are in vogue at the moment, and I've been looking at some of my Fiancees families vintage photos. This is my fiancees Father, Aunt and Uncle. Very dapper suits.

What I wore to work

I must admit its nice to work in a semi informal office and get to wear pretty dresses to work. I bought this 1960's shift dress in the Paris flea markets last summer.

Shopping

I have vowed to stay away from the shops, as we are saving for our wedding which is only five and a half months away. Online vintage shopping isn't really shopping though. I am feeling a fourties vibe at the moment, below are a few of my current Etsy favourites.

Wedding guest

One of the nicest outfits to plan is what to wear to a wedding. A couple of weeks ago I went to a friend's wedding and decided to wear a vintage 1950's prom dress. I bought a little cardigan from Zara and sewed an antique millinary flower to the front. A cute vintage wedding outfit.
